Riders Meeting 12/6/25
Alpine Racing (Giant Slalom)
• Check-in & Bib Pick-up from 11a-11:45am Base of Highlands (Deck of Alehouse.)
Bibs from last season are your bibs this season. If you can not find your bib you can purchase a new one on the USASA Aspen Snowmass teamapp.

Format – Giant Slalom
• Inspection begins at 12:15.*
• Heats begin at 12:45a.*
• Two Runs per Race.
• Combined Time used for Results.
• Start Cadence is as follows
o Racer Ready
o Attention
o Go
• Racer can start 5 seconds before or 5 seconds after ‘Go.’
• Start Cadence will be given by USASA Representative (Technical Supervisor, Series Director, or Starter.)
• Run Two commences immediately after last racer of Run One.
• Race Two commences immediately following last racer of Race One.
• No Course reset between races.
• Start Lists will be available on LiveHeats (USASA Aspen Snowmass Series)

*Times subject to change based on lift access.

Disqualification for following…
• The competitor does not stop when the starter gives the signal for a
false start.
• The competitor does not pass a gate correctly.
• If athlete’s helmet comes off on course.
• Inappropriate/rude behavior/language.
• Using fluorinated wax.

Additional Points
• Both feet must be strapped in when passing a gate and the finish line.
• You can unstrap one foot to hike back up if you have missed a gate.
• The TS, SD, Starter, or Gate Official will inform you if you properly passed a gate by pointing down the mountain.
• The TS, SD, Starter, or Gate Official will inform you if you need to properly pass a gate by pointing up the mountain.
• If you experience legitimate interference sit down on course and cross your arms above your head. You will be tended to by (either) TS/SD/Starter/Gate Official
• Awards @ roughly 4:00p (Highlands Alehouse Deck.)
• No athlete or coach pass required this weekend. No public viewing as venue is closed to public.
